Sasakawa Postgraduate Studentships

Application deadline: Sunday 28 February 2021

The Centre for Japanese Studies has once again been invited to submit applications for a number of Postgraduate Studentships from the Great British Sasakawa Foundation. This is the 8th year of this programme and we have been very successful in securing several of these studentships for MA and PhD students at UEA. In 2020, we secured three Sasakawa Postgraduate Studentship holders in HIS and AMA. Each studentship is worth £10,000 towards tuition fees and living expenses. In the first instance, please send a brief CV and a statement of interest (up to 500 words), specifying the course you are interested in and your future plans in Japan-related research and activity, to Professor Simon Kaner by 28 February 2021 using the contact form below. We particularly encourage prospective 2021 students of our MA in Interdisciplinary Japanese Studies to apply.

Please note that you must have completed an MA application before applying for the Sasakawa Postgraduate Studentship.
